Challenge

A leading parcel service required an efficient and reliable sorting machine for their distribution center. The challenge was to optimize the logistical processes and increase the throughput speed of packages while maintaining sorting accuracy. OBS Techniek was approached to oversee and execute this complex installation.

Objective

The goal was to implement an advanced, robust, and energy-efficient sorting system that would significantly increase the capacity of the distribution center. The installation not only needed to improve operational efficiency but also be flexible and scalable to support future expansions.

Execution

OBS Techniek took responsibility for the mechanical supervision and installation of the sorting system, including the pneumatic components. The main tasks included:

Mechanical supervision: Detailed inspection and coordination of all mechanical aspects of the installation to ensure seamless execution and adherence to specifications.
Mechanical installation: Execution of the installation of the sorting machine, including assembly and connection of all mechanical components.
Pneumatics: Installation and optimization of the pneumatic system, essential for the operation of the sorting machine, using high-quality components to ensure reliability and efficiency.

The project resulted in the successful implementation of a high-quality sorting system, significantly improving the operational capacity and efficiency of the distribution center.
