Challenge
A leading refrigeration supplier faced the challenge of implementing an efficient and reliable cooling system for the ripening cells of a major online supermarket. These ripening cells are essential for storing and accelerating the ripening of unripe fruits and vegetables, ensuring they are ready for distribution at the right time. With the support of 2 of our installers, multiple sets of cooling units, along with the necessary piping, were installed in collaboration with the client and based on a provided design.
Objective
The goal was to install a robust and energy-efficient system, through careful installation, capable of precisely regulating the climate conditions within the ripening cells. This system not only had to guarantee the quality of the products but also minimize operational costs through efficient technologies.
Execution
OBS Techniek was responsible for the installation in this project and performed the following tasks:
Piping installation: The infrastructure for the piping was installed to ensure optimal flow of the refrigerant.
Mounting of cooling units: The cooling units were precisely positioned according to the design to ensure even cooling within the ripening cells.
Installation of piping: High-quality pipes from the Aquatherm brand were installed using thermal welding techniques. These pipes are suitable for transporting Glycol, the refrigerant used.
